The 2008 Survey on the European Dental Trade
covers 14 European countries & more than 268,000 dentists.
The annual survey, which is conducted by ADDE,
the Association of Dental Dealers in Europe, & FIDE,
the Federation of European Dental Industry, through their
national associations, contains many interesting statistics
and trends for individual countries and Europe as a whole.
Major findings of this year’s edition of the Survey
reveal:
• An increase of almost 6 % in dentists' total sales
for all countries surveyed in the past year.
• A wide variation of the number of dentists per
capita across the countries surveyed
• Growth rates for total sales in the four largest
European Markets
(Germany, Italy, France, UK)
• An increasing trend of the total sales of equipment
and metal implants
• Even so, less than 10% of dentists (European average)
use the Internet or e-mail to
purchase their dental products.
