The 2009 Survey on the European Dental Trade
covers 14 European countries & more than 268,000 dentists.
The annual survey, which is conducted by ADDE,
the Association of Dental Dealers in Europe, & FIDE,
the Federation of European Dental Industry, through their
national associations, contains many interesting statistics
and trends for individual countries and Europe as a whole.
Major findings of this year’s edition of the Survey
reveal:
• The total sales for all countries surveyed increased
by 0,6 % in the past year.
• A wide variation of the number of dentists per
capita across the countries surveyed
• The four largest European markets (Germany, Italy,
France and UK) report growth
rates for total sales 1,6-10 %
• The total sales of sundries increased by 1,5 %.
• The volume of new dental chairs installed in 2008
grew by 2,7 %.
