The 2010 Survey on the European Dental Trade covers 15 European countries and 269,900 dentists.

The annual survey, which is conducted by ADDE, the Association of Dental Dealers in Europe, & FIDE, the Federation of European Dental Industry, through their national associations, contains many interesting statistics and trends for individual countries and Europe as a whole.

Major findings of this year’s edition of the Survey reveal:

• The total sales for all countries surveyed increased by 2.8 %.
  
• The four largest European markets report the following growth rates for total sales: Germany plus 3.2 %; Italy minus 5.9 %; France surprisingly plus more than 20 %; UK plus 7.4 %.
  
• The total sales of sundries increased by 3.19 %. Total sales equipment shows an increase by 5.3 %.
  
• The total sales of the laboratory market reaching approximately € 870 Million or 15.3 % of the total sales value grew by almost 1 % since last year.
