The General Assembly of UNIDI (Italian Dental Industries
Association) was held in Milan on Friday June 27th ,
2008.
During this event, the following new Members of UNIDI’s
Executive Board were elected for the two-year period

This year’s premier dental exhibition is taking
place at the ExCeL London in October. BDTA Dental Showcase
is the event to visit for the latest in surgery and
laboratory equipment, consumables and technology. From
handpieces and operating chairs, furniture, units and
cabinetry, to orthodontic and cross infection control
products, you can see and hear about them all under
one roof at the exhibition. Product demonstrations,
literature and service information will all be available.
Showcase provides a complete dental experience for
all members of the dental team in 2008, with complimentary
daily seminars on the core CPD topics, recommended
by the GDC, added to the programme.
The laboratory area which has given dental laboratories
the opportunity to exhibit to the dental team has
proved a success over the past two years and will
be repeated in 2008.

At the annual meeting of the Swedish Dental Trade Association
(FSD) in Stockholm on April 3 resigned Bengt Hoffman
who has been chairman since 2001.
FSD´s new chairman, Thomas Andersson, has been
in FSD´s board since 1993. He has a long experience
from the dental trade business. Thomas Andersson was
former Nordic CEO for Nobel Biocare for several years.
Since 2003 Thomas Andersson runs a consultant business,
Incisivum AB, with several assignments in the dental
area.
